Bye, bye sofa…

I slept till 8.30 today. Had an elaborate breakfast, read the paper, did some errands and had lunch. Watched Oprah, decided what to prepare for dinner… Normally, I would be bored like sheit on a day with this little action, but today I am enjoying this laziness to the max. As from tomorrow, it’s “Bye, bye sofa, Hello, office!” Yep, you read it right:

I HAVE A JOB!!! (this definitely is a Caps Lock moment)

40 hours a week, for the next 3 months I will be replacing a lady who’s on maternity leave. Part administrative employee, part secretary at the Water Works’ (dice times 400 ;-) ) extraction and protectionsdepartment. Maybe, I can stay after 3 months or grow within the department (extraction of water, extraction of gas or oil, what’s the difference?) or if I leave, at least I’ll have some work experience to add to my resume!

IRL

Layla has visited the World Youth Days in Cologne and will be doing in quick round trip through the region this week: Cologne – Amsterdam – Bruxelles – Paris – Luxembourg… I have offered her a free, clean bed and shower facilities between Amsterdam and Bruxelles and she accepted it. Tuesday eve, I will meet a fellow bloggette from my link list in real life! Exciting, isn’t it? (No, grandpa, WYD visitors aren’t your typical, average criminial types, I hope ;-) )

Bare with me, please

I seem to have some difficulties regarding ftp or connection, whatever… Problem might be at my server, but no one knows what or how…
update: For the past week I tried to post on this blog, but I kept getting “broken pipe” errors. MyLove told me, that I still had enough disk space. We did have had a server update, but nothing vital had changed and things should be working properly. It did not, obviously. Anyway, things seem to be working again, so I will clarify this cryptic message… tomorrow ;-D

To … or not to …

I have a very exiting week ahead of me.
No, I won’t go into details, just keep your fingers crossed for me – or light a candle if you wish.
I’ll get back to you later this week for the what, how and why.

Dance Valley 2005

We had rain, guest list entrance, some mud, Derrick May, drizzle, the Global Stage with Lucca, Umek & Valentino Kanzyani, mud, the hill, Deep Dish, lunch, proper espresso, sun!, the one and only Ben Sims, great music, great atmosphere, beer, a chat, back to the valley, flowers, mud, Carl Cox, cold mud, beer, DJ Preach, a tractor to pull us out of the (muddy) parking area, 100 km of straight road home, a nice hot shower, a cup of tea and a bed.

See?

Pick a religion

I was baptised Lutherian when I was 6 months of age, but I was raised with general (christian? human?) values: don’t hurt anyone, don’t steel, be good and good will come to you, give to the poor… I’ve never ‘practiced’ christianity, I don’t believe in a God or heaven or after life or reincarnation… I thought I was a completely harmless, peacefull atheist. So when I got back the result of this little test I did (via Puck), I was just as shocked as you might be:

Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don’t actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism.

Not alone, yet lonely

Nothing to do, no where to go, all the time in the world; yet no one replies to my e-mails, pops up in messenger, answers the phone or text messages… I want to be on holiday, or at work, or just busy in general, too!
A bit of mid-summer self pity, it’ll pass… hopefully
